MUSIC FOR SUMMER MASSES
As the choirs take a well deserved break for July and August, we would like to offer the opportunity to other singers and instrumentalists to lead the music at Sunday Masses for the next two months. Can you sing or play an instrument? If you are aged 16-18 you could allocate the Masses served towards receiving the Pope John Paul II Award (www.thepopejohnpauliiaward.com). Would you be willing to give your time and talent on a voluntary basis to enhance the liturgy this Summer or for part of the Summer? YOUNG PEOPLE & SUICIDE
There will be a ‘Youth Vigil’ held in Holy Family Church, Ballymagroarty on Sunday 24th June, 7.00 pm – 11.30 pm. This vigil is being held for all those affected in anyway by suicide and also for all young people. This will be an evening of prayer, drama, music, silence, talks and healing. The evening is aimed at giving hope and consolation and we particularly invite those finding it hard to cope with the struggles of life or who are interested in any way and want to pray for our young people. Everyone is welcome. The evening will be led by young people for young people!

WEE NUNS’ SAVINGS
Open on Sunday 24th June and Sunday 8th July. If you wish to withdraw your savings before the summer holidays, the 8th July is your last opportunity for 6 weeks. The Savings re-open on Sunday 19th August.

HAVING TWO GODMOTHERS for baptism is not permitted in Canon Law. Godparents must be practising Catholics at least 16 years of age (Canon 874) and (if there are two) one must be male and one female (Canon 873).

PLEASE PRAY for all the couples getting married this year. They are in preparation for a God-given vocation and need God’s help to prepare well and sustain the commitment they are making. Congratulations to those who have already celebrated the sacrament.
