WHO OWNED CREGGAN? What have the
Guilds of London, the eccentric Earl Bishop Harvey
and a local fishery all got in common? Well, at one
stage or another over the last 400 years they have
all claimed ownership of Creggan Country Park. At
8.00 pm on Friday 29th February Creggan Country Park
will give local history buffs the chance to examine
this subject further. Acclaimed local historian Annesley
Malley delivers a talk on the subject of Land Ownership
at the park. The event is completely free of charge.
Following the talk there will be a session with some
of Derry’s top traditional musicians performing.
