CHRISTMAS CARDS

The Long Tower Christmas card is one of our fund-raising
initiatives for the centenary of the church in 2009.
We have many restoration projects in view and all
money raised from the cards will go to this cause.
We are very grateful to the Restoration and Projects
Committee for their hard work and to all of you for
your constant support.
Features: Beautiful photos of the Long Tower windows
with a message of peace. Price: £3.99 for a
pack of 12 assorted cards. Request: We need many distributors
to help us sell the cards. Could you help us? Could
you take, for example, ten packs of cards to sell
to your friends or relatives? And then bring the proceeds
to the Parochial House? If you could do so, please
give your name, address and phone number to the committee
in the back corridor of the Sacristy after any of
the Masses. Alternatively, ring Charlie or Moira Doherty
at 7126 6808. Thank you.
The Advent calendar boxes can be collected from Long
Tower today and can be returned at the end of December.

the final of the Big Lottery Peoples Millions UTV
live phone vote on Tuesday 25th November. On that
day two projects will go head to head on UTV appealing
for the public vote. We need your support to ensure

lottery funding. They will use this money to create
a Secret Garden in the grounds of their refuge. They
are the only residential service in the North West
addressing domestic violence. 1 in 4 women experience
domestic violence and we know children are often the
forgotten victims. Please help them bring lottery
funding to the North West. Calls cost 10p from land-lines
and people can call 10 times from any one number.
One pound is a small price to pay for the benefits
it will accrue and the difference it will make in
the lives of women and children suffering domestic
violence. The phone number will be released on the
morning of the 25th November in The Daily Mirror.
It will also be featured on UTV Live that night and
they will broadcast the number. The lines are open
from 9am until midnight on the 25th November. To stand
a chance of winning they need everyone to vote the
maximum TEN times. So please Vote Early and Vote Often.
