CEREMONY OF COMMITMENT
for P7 children and their families of the Long Tower
Primary School will take place on Saturday, 26th January
at the Vigil Mass (6.00 pm).
VISIT OF CARDINAL BRADY His Eminence
Sean Cardinal Brady will be making his first official
visit to the Diocese on Wednesday 23rd and Thursday
24th January 2008. He will be Principal Celebrant
at Mass in St Eugene’s Cathedral on the morning
of Thursday 24th January at 10.00 am to which you
are all welcome. Cardinal Brady will be available
after Mass to meet and greet those who come along.
YOUNG PEOPLE who have completed
the Pope John Paul II Award in Derry Diocese will
be presented with their certificates by Cardinal Brady
on Wednesday, 23rd January.
EWTN (Catholic Television) will
be recording some talks in Long Tower this week in
preparation for broadcast in Lent. It will not intrude
on the timetable of the parish. The recordings will
take place in the silence of the afternoons, and possibly
in the gallery. It will be uplifting to see our church
beamed around the world in Holy Week.
