REQUIESCANT
IN PACE
We extend our sincere sympathy
to the family and friends of
Michael Quigley,
11 St Columb’s Wells and
Annie McClelland, 46 Foyle Road.
May they rest in peace.

THANK YOU – We wish to express
our deep gratitude to all who gave us cards, gifts
and good wishes at Christmas. It is a privilege to
serve in Long Tower and we are honoured that you show
us your warmest appreciation so frequently. Happy
Centenary! Fr Roland and Fr Gerard.
SINCERE THANKS from Sister Ann Doherty
and Gerry Deeney to ALL who contributed in any way
to the Christmas Raffle in aid of the poor in Africa,
India, Chile, Cambodia and Fiji by buying raffle lines,
giving donations, etc. The total amount raised to
date is: - £18591.16 plus €860 plus $100
Australian dollars for the six charities. This money
will be divided and sent to the different Sisters
for their work. Mass is being offered for you ALL
in thanksgiving. May God reward and bless each of
you in a special way. Sister Ann and Gerry Deeney
VISITATION TEAM 2009 – We
hope to establish a team of parishioners who will
take part in an outreach programme for the centenary.
The goal is to prepare a group of twelve “disciples”
who will dedicate one night a week for twelve weeks
to knock on doors and invite people to come to Mass.
We will have a few preparatory sessions so that you
know what to say and do and then we will commission
the team. Exciting! Could you offer yourself to serve
God for this targeted project? We will be recruiting
very soon.

the Roman tradition, the crib can stay in place until
the 2nd February, the Feast of the Presentation of
